Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a sharp warning on Monday, urging the people of Pakistan to take charge in steering their country away from terrorism.
Speaking at a rally, he said Pakistan’s youth must rise to the challenge, adding pointedly, “Live a life of peace and eat your roti calmly, or else, my bullet is always ready.”
Referring to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 people, mostly tourists, were killed, PM Modi said India had waited for 15 days, hoping Pakistan would act. When it didn’t, he gave the armed forces a free hand to strike back under Operation Sindoor.
PM Modi slammed Pakistan for nurturing terrorism and said, “India believes in tourism. It brings people together. But Pakistan thinks terrorism is tourism. This is a big danger to the world.”
