MRZR D4 Vehicles: Indian Army Builds up Mobility fleet with Polaris MRZR D4 Vehicles

The Indian Army has bolstered its operational capabilities with the induction of 250 units of the Polaris MRZR-D4, a high- performance off-road vehicle designed for mission versatility and durability The MRZR-D4, developed by Polaris Defense-a division of Polaris Industries-represents a significant upgrade in terms of mobility and utility for the armed forces.

The Polaris MRZR-D4 is engineered to meet the demanding needs of modern military operations. The vehicle boasts a 500-pound rear box capacity, auxiliary power, and multiple cargo tie-down points It can seat up to six, personnel, making it adaptable for various mission profiles.

With aircraft tie-downs and a folding roll cage, the MRZR-D4 is designed to be as expeditionary as the soldiers who depend on it The roll cage can be collapsed without tools, reducing the vehicle’s height from 1.87 meters to 1.52 meters for easy transportation Refined through operator feedback, the MRZR-D4 offers improved sight lines and a longer operational range These enhancements ensure that the vehicle is effective and durable in any mission environment

The vehicle measures 3.55 meters in length. 1.51 meters in width, and 1.87 meters in height (reduced to 1.52 meters with the roll cage collapsed) With a curb weight of 952.5 kg. the MRZR-D4 can carry a payload of 680 kg. The rear cargo box can accommodate 226 8 kg, and an additional tactical trailer can be attached for a further payload capacity of 454 kg

The rear modular cargo bed measures 0.82 meters in length. 1:24 meters in width, and 0.51 meters in height. It supports the integration of up to two rearvard-facing seats, longitudinally placed litters, or one of each, depending on mission requirements.

The MRZR-D4 is a turbo-charged diesel variant of the original MRZR 4 It offers high auxillary power and extended range, making it more efficient than its predecessor These features are critical for missions requiring sustained operations and high mobility in rugged terrains.
