Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Claims India’s Drones Are Undetectable By US And China

Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh, inaugurated the nation’s largest aero engine test bed, built by Raphe mPhibr Pvt Ltd in Gautam Buddh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, calling it a milestone in India’s technological journey and a sign of the country’s growing self-reliance in the defence sector. Singh applauded Vishal Mishra and Vivek Mishra, founders of Raphe mPhibr, for exemplifying the “new technological revolution” driven by young entrepreneurs in India.

He remarked that the establishment, equipped for advanced aero engine testing and metal additive manufacturing, marks a significant leap forward and demonstrates unprecedented youth-led innovation in defence manufacturing.

In his address, Singh stated that India’s latest generation of drones, now manufactured domestically rather than imported, are so technologically advanced that neither the United States nor China will be able to detect them in flight—a breakthrough seen as a major strategic achievement.

He underscored the shifting paradigm in warfare, highlighting drones’ growing importance in modern combat operations and referencing their extensive deployment in the Russia-Ukraine conflict as evidence of their indispensability.

Singh advocated integrating drones more deeply into defence strategies, noting that while early drones served mainly reconnaissance functions, combat drones have now become vital assets, providing tactical superiority in border conflict zones.

The minister celebrated India’s rapid progress towards defence self-sufficiency (Aatmanirbhar Bharat), stressing that domestic innovation, supported by the private sector and young technologists, is transforming the country into a global technology “have” nation rather than a “have not”.

Citing Operation Sindoor as an example of the synergy between determination, scientific innovation, and military prowess, Singh praised India’s armed forces for their swift operational success and rapid adoption of homegrown defence technologies.

He also lauded Uttar Pradesh’s economic and industrial transformation under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, noting improved ease of doing business, investor confidence, and technological advancement are propelling the region—and India—into a new era of growth driven by IT, artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, and defence technology.
