Ladakh’s Siachen Glacier, renowned for its harsh conditions and extreme temperatures, witnessed a heart-wrenching incident as an Army Captain lost his life, while three others, including a Lieutenant Colonel, sustained injuries due to a devastating fire that engulfed their tent. The cause of the fire was reported to be a short circuit, leaving the entire military fraternity in mourning.
The incident unfolded in the early hours of the morning, around 3:30 am, catching the soldiers stationed at the glacier base camp off- guard. Despite the swift and heroic efforts of the fellow troops to douse the flames, the intensity of the fire proved overwhelming, leading to the tragic loss of the brave Army Captain.

Authorities immediately sprung into action, organizing rescue operations to evacuate the injured soldiers from the hostile terrain Thankfully, due to the prompt response and efficient coordination the injured personnel were safely transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention. The Army remains steadfast in their commitment to ensure the welfare and well-being of their servicemen.
